Henry’s Cuteness Overload: A Night of Puppy Love!
There are few things in life that can melt your stress away faster than a fluffy puppy wagging its tail with pure joy. For me, that puppy is Henry. Henry is a ball of golden fur, floppy ears, and a nose that’s constantly sniffing out mischief. His big brown eyes have this magical way of saying, “You can’t possibly stay mad at me,” and truthfully, he’s right. No matter what he gets into, Henry’s cuteness is the ultimate defense.
Last night was a perfect example of what I now call “a night of puppy love.” The evening began innocently enough—I thought we’d have a quiet time at home. I envisioned a calm dinner, some TV, maybe a cup of tea before bed. Henry, however, had a completely different plan. The second I sat down with my plate, he wiggled his way onto the couch and gave me the classic head tilt, that universal puppy sign for, “Are you going to share?” Within five minutes, I had surrendered a piece of chicken. Henry: 1. Me: 0.
After dinner, Henry zoomed around the living room like he was auditioning for the Puppy Olympics. He grabbed his squeaky toy, launched himself off the ottoman, and darted in dizzying circles until I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Just when I thought he was worn out, he dropped the toy in my lap, wagging his tail so fast it could’ve powered a small fan. It was impossible to say no. Round two began, and before long, Henry had officially taken over the evening’s entertainment.
